NextEra Energy Services’ Acquisition of ENGIE Power & Gas’ Natural Gas Supply Contracts
 

In August 2025, NextEra Energy Services acquired ENGIE Power & Gas LLC’s (“EPG”) natural gas supply business. You should have received a notification from EPG regarding NextEra Energy Services’ acquisition of your natural gas supply contract. This means that NextEra Energy Services is now your natural gas supplier. This page explains the transition process and the additional steps that our newly transferred customers may need to take for their natural gas supply.

We are transitioning EPG’s natural gas customers to NextEra Energy Services. Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible for our customers. 

NextEra Energy Services customers have the opportunity to leverage the full suite of capabilities of our organization, which include energy supply, renewables, efficiency solutions and an established track record of implementing those solutions effectively and efficiently.

If you only receive your natural gas invoice from your utility, you will continue to receive your natural gas invoices from them with no action needed on your part and no interruption in service of any kind.

If you were receiving your natural gas supply invoices directly from EPG, please note you will now receive invoices from NextEra Energy Services. Once you receive your first NextEra Energy Services invoice, you will have the option to pay either by check or wire.

The NextEra Energy Services Customer Portal gives customers access to PDF versions of their current and previous NextEra Energy Services invoices. To access the customer portal, submit a request to NaturalGasMidwest@nexteraenergy.com.

Customer FAQs

NextEra Energy Services will always represent our customers’ interests in working to deliver the best energy solutions.  

If a customer’s renewal takes place during the transition period, we will continue to provide competitive pricing and high levels of service.  

There is no impact to customers who are currently being supplied by EPG. The contract will remain unchanged, and NextEra Energy Services will continue to provide superior customer service throughout the length of your current contract.

 

The timing of when your service transitions to NextEra Energy Services depends on your utility service area.

If you receive your natural gas supply invoice from the utility, you will continue receiving your invoices from the utility. You will see “NextEra Energy Services” listed as your new supplier after we switch your service.

If you were receiving your natural gas supply invoice from EPG, we will begin sending you invoices and our new billing information when we switch your service. We expect to start   switching over our first group of customers starting Oct. 1, 2025.
