Here are some seasonal energy saving tips to help protect your home and furnishings, as well as manage your energy costs, while you're away.

Programmable Thermostats

Programmable thermostats can save energy and prevent mold in unoccupied homes by controlling indoor humidity levels. Program your air conditioner to run at 72 degrees for two hours before sunrise and 88 degrees the rest of the day, or set non-programmable units to 80 degrees (77 degrees for condos/apartments). Repairing air conditioning duct leaks also helps control humidity in your home.
