NextEra Energy Services’ Acquisition of Approved Energy’s Power Supply Contracts
In February 2025, NextEra Energy Services entered into an agreement to purchase Approved Energy II LLC’s (“Approved Energy”) power supply business. NextEra Energy Services will now be the power supplier for Approved Energy’s retail power customers. The acquisition has no impact on our customers’ current service. NextEra Energy Services will continue to provide superior customer service throughout the length of their agreement.
By transitioning to NextEra Energy Services, our customers will have the opportunity to leverage the full suite of capabilities of our organization, which include energy supply, renewables, efficiency solutions and an established track record of implementing those solutions effectively and efficiently.
We are transitioning Approved Energy’s power customers to NextEra Energy Services. Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible for our customers.
You should have received a notification from Approved Energy regarding NextEra Energy Services’ acquisition of your contract.
Once you receive your first NextEra Energy Services bill, you will have the option to pay by check or online.

You can view your invoices, make online payments, set up autopay and access other useful information at your fingertips through the NextEra Energy Services Customer Portal.
If your natural gas and power accounts have the same billing account number (the first 8 digits of your billing account number), you can access both accounts with your existing Customer Portal login. If the billing account numbers are different, please email our customer service team to access both accounts under one login. Otherwise, you can create a separate login for your power account.

NextEra Energy Services does not intend to change any core business models and will always represent our customers’ interests in working to deliver the best energy solutions.
If a customer’s renewal takes place during the transition period, we will continue to provide competitive pricing. We assure you that you will continue to get competitive prices and high levels of service working with us.
There is no impact to customers who are currently being supplied by Approved Energy. The contract will remain unchanged, and NextEra Energy Services will continue to provide superior customer service throughout the length of the agreement.
The timing of when your service will transition to NextEra Energy Services will depend on your utility service area. Before we switch your service to NextEra Energy Services, you will receive a notification letter.
